Cyberbullying is bullying with the use of digital technologies. It can take place on social media, messaging platforms, gaming platforms, and mobile phones. Some examples of cyberbullying are:
– Posting embarrassing and/or nude/sexual photos and/or videos of someone on social media
– Posting mean comments of rumors about someone
– Threatening to hurt someone
– Encouraging self-harm or suicide
– Pretending to be someone else and posting false personal information
– Creating a mean, hurtful, and/or fake page about someone
– Doxing (publicly revealing previously private personal information)
